Lyme Disease Support Group
Chronic Lyme Disease is an illness that can affect every system of the body, produce devastating emotional symptoms, and impact overall quality of life. If you are feeling stuck, isolated, scared, or otherwise not like “yourself,” you are not alone! This 8-week group is designed so that participants will have the chance to share their stories, learn a new mini-skill each week, and feel restored and encouraged through group support. Group members will use a model of psychotherapy found to produce clinically significant posttreatment improvements in overall pain, physical functioning, self-compassion, and depressive symptoms in patients living with chronic illness. Identifying parts of oneself that have been impacted by illness, and learning to relate to these bundles of feelings, thoughts, and beliefs in a new way, emotional healing is possible and life can be radically different!
